Growing up I hated pictures. I hated having a camera in front of my face, hated seeing myself in pictures and just didn’t get why it was such a big deal. Like many of you, I was very self-conscious. I’d be the first to put my hand up or run in the other direction when a camera came near. It wasn’t until I had my first born, that I realized just how special and IMPORTANT pictures are. Pictures aren’t just pictures, they’re memories; a moment frozen in time that can never be replaced. From then on, I made a promise to myself that I would become friends with the camera and embrace it, not just for my own sake, but for the sake of my daughter and future children.
When we had our first child, I bought my first camera. I picked it up and instantly knew that this was what I was meant to do. We all have a memory, but sometimes our memories fail us, and it’s then that we can haul out the photo albums, and all of those memories come flooding back.
How dreadful would it be if you had no pictures to look back on?! Nothing to document your life?! Life is short! Too short! Embrace the small things, document everything and take lots of pictures!!!…..or better yet, let me do it for you! Why? Because it’s my passion….
…..because I want you to remember.
“The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.”
